Nevada Business Entity Search
Nevada’s business entity search runs on the ORION Business Portal, which launched on September 14, 2026 and completed the replacement of SilverFlume. The Secretary of State calls it a free business search, and no login was needed in our review.

How to search
- Open the current ORION business search using the button above. The page has separate tabs for Business, Notary, Mark and Registered Agent. This guide covers the Business tab.
- Enter an Entity Name, Entity Number or NV Business ID Number. For a name search, keep Starts With or choose another matching mode.
- Official guidance recommends searching the main part of the name without Inc, LLC or LP suffixes to broaden the results.
- To narrow results, open Advanced Search and use Entity Type, Entity Status, Filing ID, Registered Agent Name or Officer Type.
- Select Search and wait for the results to load. Results are paginated.
- Select an entity name or entity number to open the record.
- On the record, read Entity Information, Agent Information, management details and filing history. Treat Purchase Documents as a separate transaction.
What you can expect to find
- The results table has the columns Entity Name, NV Business Id #, Entity No., Entity Type, Registered Agent Name, Formation Date and Status.
- A record can show the Nevada formation date, renewal or expiration date, jurisdiction, status and management structure, along with the registered agent’s name, type, status and street address.
- Active Management lists title, name, officer type, address, last updated and status. Filing History Details lists filed date, effective date, filing number, filing type and page count.
- The record page has many other labelled fields, such as transacting business name, original formation date, original jurisdiction, entity status change date and FEIN. A label does not mean data exists: several fields were blank or showed dashes for the entity we reviewed, and the stock, name history and merger sections were empty.
- Results can include corporations, LLCs, business trusts, business-license records for sole proprietors and general partnerships, and name reservations. Not every result is an incorporated entity.
Limitations, fees and notices
- ORION replaced SilverFlume. Some older state-page links still point to the old system, so use the current ORION search. Existing SilverFlume credentials work in ORION, according to the state’s transition page.
- Searching is free. Purchase Documents offers separate Copy Request and Certificate Request options. We have not confirmed any document prices, so check the official fee information before ordering.
- Official guidance warns that name availability is not guaranteed until a filing is approved.
- A Login button is on the page but was not needed for the lookups we tested.
- Address labels matter. The registered agent and management addresses shown on a record are specifically labelled and are not a general business address.
