Search methods offered
- Filing NameChoose the Starts With or Contains option.
- Filing IDThe form shows the example format 2000-000123456. If you don’t know the ID, the page tells you to search by entity name.
How to search
- Open the official Wyoming Filing Search using the button above.
- Enter a Filing Name and choose Starts With or Contains, or enter a Filing ID if you know it.
- Select Search.
- Compare the names, Filing IDs, statuses, standing and Filed On dates in the results. Older and former-name matches can appear.
- Select a result to open the entity detail.
- Review the addresses, registered agent and history. If a history filing has a PDF icon, selecting it opens that filing’s image.
What you can expect to find
- Each result shows the name, Filing ID, abbreviated type, status, Standing-Tax, Standing-RA and Filed On. Results are paginated.
- A record can show the name, Filing ID, type, status, sub-status, initial filing, three standing indicators (Tax, RA and Other), duration, formed-in jurisdiction, principal office, mailing address, registered agent name and address, latest annual report and year, whether the annual report is exempt, and license tax paid.
- The record also shows history entries with filing descriptions, numbers and dates, plus Public Notes and Parties sections.
Limitations, fees and notices
- Lookups and record viewing are free. Not every history filing has an image, so don’t expect a PDF for each.
- A Filing ID is assigned by the Secretary of State. It is not a federal EIN.
- The Business Center says online good-standing certificates can be printed or validated at no cost. That does not cover manually signed originals, certified copies, every document request or bulk data. We have not confirmed their prices.
- The official FAQ describes bulk business information as a paid subscription.
- The form says good standing means the required registration paperwork and fees are current. It does not endorse a business or its products or services.
- The form sends people checking name availability to the naming PDFs. A search with no match does not guarantee a name will be accepted for filing.
